Maintaining a baseline of wellness...
Historically, mental and emotional self-care domains such as the those that are the focus of these trainings, were primarily the concern of those providing or receiving mental health recovery support. This is no longer the case. We have entered a new era where self-care is no longer a sidenote.
Today we know that ALL peer supporters, regardless of their pathways to wellness, must employ a vigorous wellness routine if we are to stay healthy and provide the highest level of care. After all, how can we promote what we do not practice?

The self-care domains covered in this training are universal. They apply to all Peer Supporters and Family Support Partners. Unlike other generic self-care trainings, however, the thrust of this training is to dig deep and to personalize wellness practices to suit individuals, not groups, and to create lifelong wellness routines. Certificates of completion will be issued only for those who are visible on camera and miss no more than ten minutes of each 90-minute training. As always, we look forward to learning, growing, and sharing our experiences with you!
